In 2007 Marina graduated from Suffolk University in Boston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, and a double minor in dance and education.  In March of 2007 Marina traveled to Spain to study Spanish flamenco dance under the instruction of the most prestigious teachers at Casa Patas in Madrid.  She has performed flamenco in Spain and in Boston, even for Suffolk University on various occasions.  Not only has Marina danced nationally and internationally, but her classes for her minor at Suffolk have also allowed her to study under some of the country’s finest teachers.  Marina has taken music theory and the history of Broadway with Dr. Marylin Plotkins, the fundamentals of Jazz with Jennifer Farrell, Broadway dance with Dawn Davis-Loring, and ballet essentials, imagery, alignment and technique with Margot Parsons, (former dancer of the American Ballet Theater and instructor/choreographer for the Boston Ballet).
Marina continues her ballet education through classes with Nicole Pierce of Green Street Studios, and flamenco dance with Ramon de los Reyes at the Dance Complex.  She has been certified by test to teach with both Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston (DTCB) and Dance Master’s of America (DMA), and she has participated in the Dance Educators Training Courses with both associations.  She currently teaches tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop at Nicole’s Studio of Dance.
